THE AFTERMATH OF WAR

The aftermath of war is a womenswear capsule collection designed for the season of Fall-Winter 2021. The collection is inspired by Vietnam War. Many might know the war as a tragic and brutal incident.

I'll be drawing inspiration from the feelings and the surrounding of the war.

It will mainly focus on shapes and volumes.

The collection is intended to remind everyone to cherish every moment in life and unite as one to fight through

Finalizing with hand sketches after developing collages and shapes throughout the dossier. Concluding on the idea of tying to change the form of the garment, which was drawn from a picture of a wrapped body

Exploring the possibilities of tying and visualizing the form that creates by it. The choice of fabric plays a huge part in creating the form.

A cocoon dress with a puffy top layered is created after development. Although it is not included in the final capsule collection, the inspiration for the dress was drawn from the shape of the parachute which was used during the war.
